Back to God's Country

So, I officially graduated school at Acaydia so now i am licensed to do any aesthetic treatments! Big weight off my shoulders and i'll have a steady job doing eyelash extensions all summer. Wednesday night i stayed up until about 4 typing some papers and packing up some of my stuff to squeeze into my pick up for the road trip home Thursday. I went to school Thursday morning for a little bit and then hopped in the car with my friend Aubrie and we started on our trip back home, to Idaho! We got 5 minutes into the drive and i got a bright idea that i needed to get my pick up washed. So we stopped at a Chevron in Orem and as we were pulling into the car wash i realized "oh my arm is getting soaked" unfortunately i left my window down... so i rolled that one up and we got all set in the car wash stall and as my car was getting soaked i clued in and said to Aubrie "oh my gosh....all my bags and tubs of clothes are getting soaked back there" embarassing, i know. But it gets even better... so we wait and wait for the car wash to finish and the giant dryers start up so i pull forward and figured that if i stopped with the bed of my pick up right under the dryer they would dry my bags and we'd be good to go.... but no, the pressure from the dryers was so powerful that it caught an edge of the lids on the tubs and tore them off and shot most of my shoes and some clothes back into the car wash where they would get clean as well :) all in all it was a great start to our trip and we had some laughs after i got my frustration out about my "blonde" moment.

After getting home i have been so busy with all sorts of "girl" appoinments... getting my hair and nails done and prepping and packing for Houston! My mom and I fly out bright and early tomorrow around 6 to fly to Texas and get settled before the pageant! I am getting so anxious and can't wait to meet everyone and find out who my roommate is for the week. The breakdown of the pageant is pretty simple, considering the week is full of rehearsals, interviews, and competition.... but we got some news recently that we will be heading down to the Gulf to help clean some of the birds from the oil spill! It'll be an awesome opportunity and i'm pumped! prelims are wednesday night where i will compete in evening gown and swimsuit... thursday will be interviews all day and friday will be finals night where top 15, 10, and 5 are announced! My Grandma and my amazing make up artist Danielle will be flying in on Tuesday after the photoshoots and my Dad and Trevor will be getting there Thursday morning!
