Vegas Miss USA was amazing! I went with my Mom, Shara, and met up with Dani (my roomate), Kaitlin my previous title holder and Courtney the 2009 Miss Idaho International.
The first night we got there it was super late but we decided to meet up with everyone at Hard Rock Cafe, and a night in at the hotel. Sunday we woke up early and headed to Planet Hollywood to have a dress fitting and try on with Sherri Hill... lets just say i fell in love with a gown and i've been scheming ways to purchase it! We spent a few hours there and then went to the fashion show mall to check out Neiman Marcus's dress sale.
The final night show started at 4 30 so we rushed to the hotel got all shnazzy and headed back to Planet Hollywood for a night full of interviews, swimsuit, and evening gowns. Let me make this clear, that every single contestant looked amazing on stage! Prior to the pageant i had my top 5 picked out, Virginia, Texas, Michigan, California, and Oklahoma... all but CA and TX were in the final 5. Unfortunately my favorite, Samantha Casey Miss VA was 3rd runner up. But she still looked fabulous! After the finals and Miss Michigan was crowned we headed to the Ferarri Night Club for the after party and went to supper at Grand Luxe Cafe in the Palazzo! Talk about a huge chicken pot pie that i couldn't even come close to finishing.
After a successful weekend and much needed time spent with my amazing mom Wendy I am back in Provo and getting my rear end in gear to graduate and head to my own Nationals in Houston Texas!
